Dale Odham Memorial Scholarship

Hugh “Dale” B. Odham, IV (Nov. 16, 1985 – July 24, 2006)

Dale began playing golf at age 5. During the summers as a youth, he competed in the Brevard County tournaments sponsored by BCC and US 1 Golf. Dale also was a member of the Florida Junior PGA playing in tournaments throughout the state from age 12-18. He was a 4 year letterman of the THS golf team (2001-2004) and team captain his senior year. Dale made the BCC golf team in 2004-2006 as a walk-on under Coach Jamie Howell and played in the National Junior College Championship in 2006 in Ruidoso New Mexico. That year he placed 4th in the Brevard Amateur Championship.
Dale graduated the summer of 2006 from BCC and on July 24, 2006 tragically died in an automobile accident only several weeks before attending the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. He was planning on trying out for the UNF Golf Team. Dale loved golf and being outside enjoying the beauty of the golf courses and seeing the wildlife during the early mornings.
