Vincent J. and Mary T. Pisani (Music) Scholarship

Vincent J. and Mary Pisani came to Brevard county in 1961 and started Star TV and Electronics. They ran this business many years before retiring. They were co-founding members of the Space Coast Jazz Society. Mr. Pisani had a love of jazz and big band music. Some of the music he enjoyed was performed by Stan Kenton and Count Basie. He often listened to and recorded Jack Simspon’s radio show Jazz on the Beach on Saturday mornings played by radio station WFIT. Mr. and Mrs. Pisani enjoyed ball room dancing, jazz themed cruises, and travelling to jazz festivals. Mr. Pisani was a member of the International Record Collectors Association traveling to their meetings in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Pisani wanted to support and encourage the love of music for students in Brevard County.
