Heroes Appreciation Scholarship

This scholarship will offer $1,000 to a veteran student who has served for a minimum of 24 months or has received a medical discharge after completing basic training and technical school.

The recipient must:

  • be enrolled a minimum of nine (9) hours
  • provide verification via DD214 (dishonorable discharge not eligible)
  • attach a maximum of two (2) character references (optional)
  • answer: " What do you consider to be the largest problem on college campuses today?"
  • describe something you have done in the past year to make a difference in your community
  • explain what serving your country means to you
  • complete the post-acceptance process upon acceptance of the award (instructions will be given to the recipient once awarded)
