Johnson Scholars Foundation DirectConnect Scholarship

The Johnson Scholars Foundation DirectConnect Scholarship will offer the successful candidate an award of $4,000 for two academic years ($1,000 per semester, Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027). Upon entry into Eastern Florida State College, the recipient is selected as a first-year student who is planning to earn an Associate degree at EFSC and enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program through DirectConnect to UCF, at EFSC. The recipient will be considered for a scholarship renewal upon transferring to the University of Central Florida. The recipient must participate in Johnson Scholars co-curricular programs such as advising meetings, undergraduate research, and Johnson Scholars Social Programs.

The recipient must:

• be a first-year student (freshman)
• have less than 15 earned credit hours
• have (or plan to) enroll in the UCF DirectConnect Program within their first semester at EFSC
• have a financial need
• have a minimum 2.5 GPA
• describe your future educational goals
• agree to fully participate in all Johnson Scholars Program components
• complete the post-acceptance process upon acceptance of the award (instructions will be given to the recipient once awarded)
