Art is an Adventure - Yvonne Scheiner Memorial Scholarship

Visual & Graphic Art Scholarship
In memory of local artist Yvonne A. Scheiner. Yvonne Scheiner graduated from EFSC (then BCC) with her AA degree in 2004 and was a resident of Port St. John, FL for 27 years. She was married to William J. Scheiner and mother to Lily and Isla. Yvonne had a passion and talent for art from a very young age. She participated in painting “Harry” the manatee on a wall mural at Space Coast Jr/Sr High school when she was only in 8th grade. Yvonne also sold her art at local art & craft events in Brevard. Before her passing she was employed as an artist at Painting with a Twist in Cocoa, FL. Taken from us too soon, Yvonne lost her battle with cancer at age 37. This scholarship was started in her memory by Yvonne’s sister, Dawn Niehoff.

The recipient must:
*Have 2.0 GPA
*Be enrolled in 6 credit hours
*Currently enrolled or have taken an art class in the past 12 months ( Course prefix ART, ARTC, ARH, GRAC, PGYC)
*Answer Essay Question: What does “Art is an Adventure” mean to you?
