Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship

The Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Patriotism, has been established to provide assistance to an American-born, Brevard County student planning to pursue a Teaching (preferably an American History major) or Nursing. Through this scholarship, the DAR hopes to encourage students to pursue higher education and to hopefully help educate others. Scholarship recipients are also encouraged to care for the ill and maimed and always have a patriotic attitude in thought and deed.

The recipient must:

  • be a South Brevard County high school graduate
  • a U.S. Citizen
  • enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more)/ or full-time for your program
  • pursuing an A.A. or A.S. degree
  • have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • complete the post-acceptance process upon acceptance of the award (instructions will be given to the recipient once awarded)

The recipient must pledge to be: a loyal American, and not participate in the activities of any organization or movement which is opposed to the American Constitutional Government, or aims to weaken or destroy our Commonwealth or its defenses; consistent with abiding by the regulations of EFSC and any other institution he/she might later attend. Do you pledge to honor this?
