Gail McKinley Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship will offer the successful candidate $500 at Eastern Florida State College and will be awarded annually to coincide with the EFSC Black History Month celebration. This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of this educator who served as the Director of the Student Support Services-TRIO program at Eastern Florida State College for 15 years, serving first generation, low income, and disabled students. Her passion and devotion toward helping students reach their academic potential was both admirable and heartfelt.

The recipient must:

  • be a Brevard County resident
  • be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more)
  • be a TRiO Program participant
  • have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • have already completed 18 credit hours (or more) of college and/or preparatory courses at EFSC
  • write a thank you letter to the donor after notification of the award (detailed instructions will be provided to scholarship recipients at a future date)
