Johnson Scholars Foundation DirectConnect Scholarship

The Johnson Scholars Foundation DirectConnect Scholarship will offer the successful candidate an award of $4,000 for two academic years ($1,000 per semester, Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026). Upon entry into Eastern Florida State College, the recipient is selected as a first-year student who is planning to earn an Associate degree at EFSC and enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program through DirectConnect to UCF, EFSC Cocoa Campus, and/or UCF, EFSC Palm Bay Campus. The recipient will be considered for scholarship renewal upon transferring to the University of Central Florida. The recipient will be required to participate in Johnson Scholars co-curricular programs such as advising meetings, undergraduate research, and Johnson Scholars Program Social Programs.

The recipient must:

• be a first-year student (freshman)
• have less than 15 earned credit hours
• have (or plan to) enroll in the UCF DirectConnect Program within their first semester at EFSC
• have a financial need
• have a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Describe your future educational goals
• agree to fully participate in all Johnson Scholars Program components
• complete the post-acceptance process upon acceptance of the award (instructions will be given to the recipient once awarded)
